The company has already invested 5.8 billion rubles (85.7 million euros) in the development of the beef industry in the Kaliningrad region. The main stages of the cattle-breeding project are realized: the production of feed, the reproduction of the herd and the rearing of the young for subsequent fattening and processing. The cumulative livestock of the specialized meat breed Aberdeen-Angus at the seven farms of the Kaliningrad Meat Company, operator of the cattle project, is 56,000 animals.

The total amount of investments in the development of Miratorg's project in the Kaliningrad region will increase to 6.2 billion rubles (91.6 million euros) by the end of 2017.

"The number of Aberdeen-Angus in the Kaliningrad region continues to increase. To provide animals with feed, the company actively develops new territories for arable land and pastures, buys modern machinery for working in the fields. At the moment, the construction of two new farms is being completed, each of which will have its own specialization. Further expansion of the project will contribute to the development of the region's economy, increase tax revenues to the budgets of the districts, create new jobs in the countryside with a decent salary and a full package of social guarantees, "the company said in a statement.
