PROVACUNO elects new president
Provacuno has appointed a new president in the person of Eliseo Isla Argelich (photo), a veterinarian by profession, with more than twenty years dedicated to the marketing of calves in the cooperative d'Ivars.
Mr. Isla has been elected to replace Marino Medina, who has presided over the interprofessional association in the last three years. In his departure speak, Mr. Medina underlined the need for more action in the sector as Spain is well positioned to promote its beef in the global market.
"It is necessary to make the sector more involved, giving them know first hand what is being done by PROVACUNO. We are going to give them arguments to become ambassadors of the beef produced in Spain", he said.
After the General Assembly, the PROVACUNO board of directors is composed of:
