According to the report from the National Service for Animal Health and Quality (Senacsa), meat sector exports continued to register declines during the third month of 2026.

Paraguay: Beef exports fell 23%, while prices rose 16%

In that sense, when comparing this first quarter with the same period in 2025, a decrease of 23% in the volume or quantity of beef shipped is observed, while there was 11% less income.

As of March, shipments totaled 69,347,595 kilograms of beef, generating a total income of USD 453.3 million, while last year they reached 90,615,074 kilograms, generating approximately USD 509.8 million in revenue.

Regarding beef offal, shipments totaled 11,385,284 kilos, representing a 39% decrease compared to the 18,803,653 kilos exported last year. This resulted in foreign exchange earnings of USD 22.8 million, while in 2025 earnings were USD 33.8 million, a 32% decrease.

According to the report, combining both beef products, 80,732,880 kilos were exported, generating revenue of USD 476.1 million. This represented a drop of up to 26% in volume and 12% in revenue.
