Paraguay: Meat exports generated more than USD 1.3 billion in the first half of the year

At the close of the first half of 2025, exports of beef, offal, and animal products reached USD 1,305,312,585 for a volume of 349,728 tons, according to the National Animal Quality and Health Service (Senacsa).

Paraguay: Meat exports generated more than USD 1.3 billion in the first half of the year

This represented an 18% increase in export revenue, while there was an 8% drop in the volume exported by the national meat complex, since in 2024 USD 1,108,392,821 had been recorded for 380,909 tons.

Breaking it down, from January to June 2025, 185,143 tons of beef were shipped for USD 1,056,135,495, while 38,073 tons of offal were sold for USD 70,439,830 to various destinations.

The main market continued to be Chile, which captured 32% after purchasing 57,130 tons for USD 343,039,359, Taiwan occupied second place with 14% by acquiring 25,350 tons for USD 151,645,449, while the United States came in third with 11% buying 19,825 tons for USD 111,897,928.

Israel came in fourth with 10%, purchasing 15,855 tons for USD 100,519,453, while Brazil came in fifth with 6%, with sales of USD 63,941,609 and 10,003 tons. Russia, with 4%, Canada, with 3%, the European Union, with 3%, other markets, with 15%.

This first half of the year was one of the best in the last four years in terms of volumes and income,  since in 2024, 380,909 tons were exported from January to June for USD 1,108,392,821, in 2023 some 297,601 tons for USD 966,646,725, while in 2022 some 296,104 tons for USD 1,103,336,021.
