Paraguay: More than 10 000 tons of meat were sent to the US in the first half of the year

In December, the first shipments of Paraguayan red protein were made to the US market. The meat industry estimated that approximately 10,000 tons would be shipped in this first year.

The figures, which show that the initial expectations of the local meat sector were exceeded, were reflected in the latest report from the official veterinary service, which reported that from January to July, the United States bought 11,480 tons of Paraguayan meat for a value of US$ 52 million.

In addition, it ranked fifth among the largest destinations for the country's flagship product.
