Poland opens new markets for poultry and pork
The Polish Ministry of Agriculture announced that Saudi Arabia was lifting the ban on exporting poultry meat and eggs and their products from Poland. In turn, Singapore has agreed to resume pork imports from the designated meat plants. As reported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Saudi Arabia has lifted export restrictions introduced due to the outbreaks of HPAI - avian influenza virus in Poland. Poultry meat and its products, as well as eggs and their products, can be re-exported to Saudi Arabia, reports local newspaper Forsal.
The Ministry of Agriculture also informed that the Chief Veterinary Officer informed about the recognition by Singapore of ASF regionalization in Poland and the agreement on the model of a health certificate for pork. This decision makes it possible to export pork and pork meat products based on the principles of regionalization, with the exception of canned sterilized pork.
