Poultry meat consumption increased in Italy, survey finds

The Ipsos survey presented during the National Assembly of Unaitalia, the reference association of the Italian poultry sector, which appointed its new president, Teramo Antonio Forlini, indicates that 54% of Italians choose chicken and turkey meat as their main source of protein, Mixer Planet reports.

The survey also shows that poultry is the only meat which reported an increase in consumption, becoming the most consumed in Italy.

Furthermore, 59% of Italians chose white meat because they consider it light and nutritious, while 63% say chicken and turkey are the most advantageous types of meat when it comes down to quality nutritional value and price.
