Premier Foods names Keith Hamill as non-executive Chairman

Premier Foods, owner of Mr Kipling cakes, Bisto gravy and other British brands, recently announced that it has appointed Keith Hamill, former chairman of Travelodge and finance director of WH Smith, as non-executive Chairman.

Premier Foods names Keith Hamill as non-executive Chairman

 

Keith Hamill said that he was pleased with the appointment and is looking forward to working with the team "to deliver value from its great portfolio of brands."

Starting with November, Hamill will replace David Beever who is stepping down after nine years with the Company and five years as Chairman, according to Premier Foods' press release.

“Keith’s background in consumer facing businesses in addition to his breadth of experience as a Chairman and non-executive director will be invaluable as we continue to focus on our strategic objectives,” Ian Krieger, Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of Premier Foods, added in a statement.

Keith Hamill is currently the non-executive director of Easyjet and Samsonite International and has also served as non-executive director of TP ICAP, Max Property Group and Bagir Group Limited over the last five years.
