QMS awarded leading importers and retailers at SIAL
Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands, Mairi Gougeon, presented the awards alongside Kate Rowell, Chair of QMS, and Sarah Millar, Chief Executive of QMS. Together, they acknowledged the unwavering dedication of Nice To Meat, Ovimpex, Just Good Food, Esselunga, and La Beccheria to quality and integrity.
Kate Rowell, Chair of QMS, said: "These awards recognise the hard work and commitment of our partners who are helping us grow the presence of Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb internationally. Events like SIAL Paris are key to building relationships and showcasing the excellence of Scottish red meat on a global platform".
The five European winners across the red meat supply chain commented from the show on why they continue to choose Scotland’s premium red meat for their businesses:
Stefano Leoni, buyer of the beef category for Italian supermarket, Esselunga, said: "Our trust in our Partnership from our supplier Scotbeef and the consistent high standards of Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb is central to our customer offerings. We are delighted to receive this award and it motivates us to continue delivering the highest quality meat products".
Mikel Pouw, Managing Director of Nice To Meat butchers in the Netherlands, said: "We are honoured to receive this recognition from QMS. Christophe Gibeaux, Purchasing Manager at French meat wholesaler, Ovimpex, added: "Our partnership with Millers of Speyside has allowed us to provide exceptional Scotch Beef to our customers in France; known for its high standards of quality and flavour".
