Russian veterinary watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor announced that the ban on Russia's exports of poultry products to Qatar has been lifted.

Russia resumes poultry exports to Qatar

Qatari authorities have lifted the ban only for poultry shipments from the regions in Russia which have been declared free of highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Moreover, the ban has also been lifted the shipments of poultry products that have been processed to ensure the destruction of the disease from all regions of the Russian Federation.

According to some market research estimates, the Qatari meat market is expected to become a million tonne market by 2020.
