Saudi Arabia inspects Ukranian poultry system
An audit mission from Saudi Arabia is visiting Ukraine to find out more about the system of state control over the production of poultry meat and poultry health, informs the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection. "A delegation of representatives of the competent authority of Saudi Arabia will work in Ukraine between February 17 and February 21, 2020, to examine the system of state control over the production of poultry meat and poultry health," said the sate service in a press release.
The delegation plans to familiarize itself with the work of the territorial bodies of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, poultry farms and meat processing enterprises in the Kyiv and Cherkasy regions. According to the latest estimates, Ukraine exported about 400,000 tonnes of chicken meat last year. In late autumn, some of the largest poultry producers in the country have been certified to export to China.
