US broiler exports set all-time records in 2022
China, Taiwan, Congo (Brazzaville), Philippines, Georgia, Angola, Turkmenistan, Gambia, Singapore, Gabon, Mauritania, Benin, and Canada showed tremendous gains in broiler exports from the same period a year earlier.
Broiler exports for the first three quarters of this year were 2,815,978 metric tons, up 5.0 percent from the same period of last year, while export value reached $3.96 billion, up 20.6 percent (Figure 1). Of the total shipment, 57.4 percent, or 1,616,165 metric tons, were shipped to the top six markets, including China, Mexico, Cuba, Taiwan, Philippines, and Canada.
China led all other U.S. export markets in broiler exports in both volume and value.
