Vietnamese seafood exports to the Middle East expected to increase

In the first 10 months of 2018, pangasius export value to Middle Eastern market reached 130.8 million US$, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

Vietnamese seafood exports to the Middle East expected to increase

As of the end of October 2018, exporting pangasius to the UAE market increased by 135.2% compared to the same period in 2017.

UAE; Egypt and Saudi Arabia are the three largest export markets of Vietnamese pangasius in the last 3 years within this region, with much more potential expected in the future.

VASEP said that, until now, the Middle East is still an important export market of Vietnamese pangasius businesses. In 2017, the Middle East is the fifth largest pangasius export market (following China - Hong Kong; America, EU, ASEAN) with the total export value of 290.4 million US$.
