Wonders of Australia on display in Indonesia
The events culminated with the Taste the Wonders of Australia gala dinner on 21 May, an initiative aiming to strengthen trade relationships and elevate the profile of Australian food and wine products among Indonesian consumers.
There is growing demand for Australian red meat Indonesia. This demand is driven by a rising middle class looking for safe, premium, quality produce, presenting significant opportunities for Australian producers and exporters.
Andrew Cox, MLA General Manager - International Markets, said the AFWC Group shares the excitement and passion around growing Australian produce’s presence in Indonesia.
"Beyond simple economic growth forecasts, we see that Indonesia has a young population looking for new food and beverage experiences, for guaranteed quality and variety", Andrew said/
"We know that Australian food and beverages complement the rich heritage, culture and cuisines of Indonesia. Our goal is to build on our mutual relationship as a trusted partner in food and agriculture".
The Taste the Wonders of Australia gala dinner was attended by over 120 trade partners, industry professionals and government representatives.
The AFWC Group initiative was funded by the Australian Government and aimed to improve the promotion and positioning of Australian food and wine products in key international markets. The group has held showcase events in Thailand, South Korea and Vietnam in the last two years. Activities are planned for Japan and Taiwan in 2024–25.
