The retail has already changed due to new preferences dictated by the consumer but there are more challenges to come, believes Hans-Joachim Boekstegers, CEO, MULTIVAC.
During the presentation held at Anuga FoodTec 2018, Mr Boekstegers predicted some new changes will occur in the packaging sector. "In the future, we will have smaller, thinner packages", he said.
The industry will have to surpass various obstacles, from packaging design to the materials used for package, in order to please the consumer and that could be a real challenge for any actor in this field.
According to MULTIVAC's plan of management, the company is ready to adapt to this new trend by building in new facility production, expanding to different technological sectors and investing more in research and development.
