Muhammad Younus, Finance Manager at Fauji Meat Ltd, says the company is ready to respond to the new trends in the Pakistani market.

Having the biggest plant on processing meat in Pakistan is a good reason for keeping up with the trends manifested by the consumers, believes Muhammad Younus, Finance Manager at Fauji Meat Ltd. The company owns a facility with a processing capacity of 100 tons of meat per day and it feels prepared to move forward on domestic and extern markest as well.
"We have the biggest plant in Pakistan with a capacity of 100 tons of meat per day of which 85 tons are produced on the beef line and 15 tons on the mutton line. The trend now is for the ready-to-cook meal. The company have a plan to expand in retail in the domestic market and we will offer processed products as well.", declared Muhammad Younus in an interview for EuroMeatNews.
Fauji Meat Limited is using Vietnam as an exporting hub to China but is also interested in entering new markets such as Saudi Arabia, Malaysia or Iran. At this point, the meat produced by the Pakistani firm is delivered to UAE and Qatar but, for the next few years, Fauji Meat Limited will focus mostly on satisfying the domestic demand. "Local market is very demanding. Pakistan is a meat-loving country. That's why we are focusing on developing our own chain of stores", mentioned the Financial Manager of Fauji Meat.
