"Quit meat" helpline launched in Denmark

Danish people have a love affair with their meat but that thing is not seen as positive by Simple Feast, a vegan meal delivery service reports Plant Based News magazine.
At the company's CEO and co-founder initiative, Simple Feast has launched the world's first helpline dedicated to those that want to change their diets. According to the company website, the hotline is the first of its kind worldwide and aims to help callers improve their health and reduce their environmental impact.
"We have tried to present a picture that illustrates how absurd we are as people when we consider something like this as normal. Just because it's been our story, it doesn't have to be our future", declared Jakob Jonck, CEO of Simple Feast, referring to the environmental issues regarding animal production and meat consumption.
"Time to Quit" is a two-part campaign aimed at reducing meat consumption in Denmark, where per capita consumption is around 100 kg of meat per year. The hotline operators include doctors, nutritionists, and Jonck himself and it runs from Monday to Friday.
