Germany expects to receive €9 million in EU funds to fight against the spreading of African Swine fever. The money will be used to build and maintain fences in the areas where the disease has already been discovered in the wild boar population, according to Agriculture Minister Julia Klockner. The allocation of this item has been made on the basis of the specified costs already incurred in the erection of fences since the appearance of the first ASF case last September.
In the fight against the spread of African swine fever, fences that delimit restricted areas are an important component.
