ABPA celebrates the opening of the Israeli chicken market

The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) applauds the new achievement announced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock for poultry in Brazil, with the opening of the Israeli market for chicken meat from Brazil.

A country with 9.5 million inhabitants, Israel is a market with growing demand for chicken meat. According to data from the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture, the country consumed more than 600,000 tons of chicken meat in recent years. And the projections for this market are promising, with demand expected to increase to more than 700 thousand tons per year by 2026.

It is the most consumed animal protein in the country, around 42.5 kilos per capita per year, which makes Israel one of the largest per capita consumers of chicken meat in the world.

"There are good expectations regarding the flow of exports to this market, which projects an increase in the need to consolidate partners to complement the local offer of products, for the supply in a specific segment, kosher. It is yet another relevant achievement under the leadership of Minister Carlos Favaro, expanding the international presence of chicken meat from Brazil”, explains the president of ABPA, Ricardo Santin.
