ABPA speaks about the new records of AI in wild birds in Brazil
The ABPA points out that the outbreaks identified are wild birds. Brazil remains recognized as free of the disease before the World Organization for Animal Health (WHOA), since commercial production continues without any registration.
The ABPA also points out that the registration of new cases should not generate impacts on Brazilian exports. In this context, it is worth highlighting the important work carried out by the Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock and Foreign Affairs to present clarifications to the various import destinations of animal protein from Brazil.
There is also no risk to the supply of products, at the same time that the ABPA recalls that, according to all international health bodies, there is no risk in the consumption of products.
Finally, ABPA reinforces the call made to all poultry producers in Brazil to maintain the biosecurity of the flocks, complying with the guidelines established by the Government and the agroindustries.
