Argentine: Agricultural exports grew 8.5 percent in 2022

Foreign sales of meat, dairy products and wheat were the ones that climbed the most, measured in value.

Argentine: Agricultural exports grew 8.5 percent in 2022

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries reports that agricultural exports grew 8.5% in 2022 compared to 2021, totaling 49,581 million dollars.

The highest percentage growths were achieved by the following items: meat and dairy products, with 20.7%, when selling for 5,508 million dollars; wheat, with 35.4%, adding 4,723 million dollars; and the accumulated amount of sunflower, barley and sorghum grew 41.4% as a whole, by completing sales of 3,557 million dollars.

According to a recently survey, soybean exports reached 22,279 million dollars, marking an increase of 2.5%; while those of corn climbed 2.7%, totaling 9,543 million dollars. Finally tobacco, wood and cotton reached 803 million dollars and marked a growth of 3%.
