Bettcher presents new meat cutting solutions at Indagra 2025

Quantum Flex® Trimmer - lighter, safer, more efficient

Bettcher’s Quantum Flex® Trimmer delivers an innovative, high-performance cutting tool which increases yield. Due to its unique flex technology, this device adapts dynamically to different meat textures and thus achieves a consistently high cutting quality. The weight of the tool has been reduced by a further 15 percent to improve ergonomic handling, thereby significantly reducing the strain on operating personnel when using the trimmer. In addition, the safety mechanism with automatically retractable blades and non-slip handles offers greater protection at the workplace. Another highlight of the trimmer series is the simplified maintenance: no adjustment is required after a blade change. This minimises production downtime.

Whizard Versa™ Trimmer - a compact solution for smaller businesses

Bettcher developed the Whizard Versa™ Trimmer specifically for smaller businesses such as butchers and snack bars. The compact tool is ideal for chicken thigh deboning, slicing gyro meat, and a wide range of further trimming, boning and cutting tasks. Thanks to the innovative Twist-N-Go head technology, the Whizard Versa™ Trimmer can instantly swap between application. Its multi-speed function and interchangeable heads offer users a high degree of flexibility. With its user-friendly handling and energy-efficient design, the device is a cost-effective solution for businesses with smaller production volumes.

Cyclone Skinner - precise control, quiet operation

The electric Cyclone Skinner optimises skinning and defatting in meat processing. It is characterised by high performance and virtually silent operation. Its wide cutting path enables precise control of the cutting thickness. The innovative toothed roller and flexible side plates minimise raw material losses. The Cyclone Skinner is the quietest device in its class (<77 dB(A)). Its one-handed operation simplifies handling. The low-maintenance design reduces costs and increases the availability of the tool. The Cyclone Skinner stands for greater efficiency and safety as well as ergonomic work - and ultimately ensures increased productivity and higher yields.

Maintenance-free Driveline – sustainability and hygiene

A key part of Bettcher’s approach to sustainability is its patented, maintenance-free Driveline, which can be used with a vast range of Bettcher tools. It incorporates a permanently mounted flexible shaft within a sealed casing that eliminates the need for daily cleaning or greasing, reduces routine maintenance, and supports hygiene standards. With fewer parts to manage and no specialised training required, the Driveline simplifies upkeep for processors.

Edge Management technology for precision and efficiency

Bettcher’s AutoEdge Blade Sharpener restores blades to their factory edge with precision, consistency and minimal effort. Controlled grinding delivers optimum sharpness while removing as little material as possible, thereby extending blade life. The self-sharpening grinding wheel requires no dressing and lasts longer than standard wheels. A quick-load collet system holds blades securely in place for accurate sharpening, while the automatic process reduces operator error and ensures uniform results. Compatible with all Bettcher Trimmer blades, it allows operators to work on other tasks during the sharpening cycle. Simple setup, minimal training and a built-in storage drawer for blade holders and accessories make it an efficient, user-friendly sharpening solution.

Customer Support – helping international customers overcome unique challenges

Bettcher’s global network of experts helps international customers select the right tools. David Vest, International Sales Manager, emphasises that there are no standard applications. “We work closely with our customers, we look at the applications and then suggest the best solutions for optimising operational processes,” he explains. “Every facility has its own unique challenges, whether it’s improving yield, reducing strain on operators, or streamlining maintenance routines. Our role is to understand those needs in detail and make sure the tools we recommend deliver real, measurable results on the production floor.”
