The United Arab Emirates continue to be the main destinations for Brazilian egg exports, importing 4,332 thousand tons between January and August, a volume 2.2% higher than in 2021, with 4,231 thousand tons. In second place, Japan was the destination of 728 tons in the same period, a number 40.9% higher than the volume shipped in 2021, with 517 tons.

"There are indications that, for the first time, we should close this year with shipments equivalent to 1% of total Brazilian production, an important milestone for the sector that has been growing in a sustainable way, with sales to Asia and the Middle East," analyzes Ricardo Santin, president of the ABPA.
