Brazilian poultry exports reach 301,000 tonnes in January
Brazilian poultry exports for the first month of 2020 reach 301,000 tonnes, up 15% compared to January 2019, according to official data. However, compared to the previous month, the volume has dropped by 17%. The average price for poultry has increased, reaching $1,620/t and going up by 20% from the value of poultry exports recorded in January 2019.
For pork (59,252 tonnes) it was an increase of 41.55% in the volumes exported in January compared to the same month last year, whilst beef 117,008 tonnes) was up by 14.22%. Regarding the value, pork ($152 million) was up by 81.23% on January 2019 and beef ($576 million) added 50% to the value reported a year ago.
