Brazil's beef exports went up by 39.72% in October
Brazilian beef exports reported an increase of 39.72% in volume in October compared to the corresponding period from 2016.
In terms of value, the exports were worth 605 million dollars, an increase of 38.11% compared to October 2016.
Furthemore, according to the data from ABIEC, compared with September of this year, beef exports increased by 6.74% in volume and 8.65% in value.
Hong Kong remains the main destiantion for the meat produced in Brazil, with shipments of 35,766 tons of beef, 67.22% more in October 2017 compared to the similar period from last year.
Last month, trade negotiation with Hong Kong generated revenues of nearly 138 million dollars, up 73.11% over the same period last year.
After Hong Kong, other important importers of Brazilian beef are China (imported 20,615 tons worth 92 million dollars) and Egypt (19,156 tons worth 66 million dollars).
