Consorcio Serrano: 28 years of existence and 15 million pieces sold
15,000,000 are the pieces that the Consorcio Serrano has sealed since its foundation in 1990. This milestone has been achieved thanks to the international promotion actions developed both in Europe and in different countries of America by this organization.
The work developed in collaboration with the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX) to boost companies in the meat sector, has resulted in the sealing of one million pieces since July of last year, the date on which the sealing of the piece 14 million, informs CdeComunicacion website.
The 29 partners that make up the consortium represent approximately 65% of the country's ham exports. Under the Consorcio Serrano brand, a total of 732,944 pieces were sealed last year. Data that attests to the extensive experience of the entity in the more than 60 foreign markets in which the consortium is present and that contribute to reinforcing the Consorcio Serrano quality seal.
The main markets where Consorcio Serrano has a sectoral plan within Europe are France, Germany and Sweden; while the most important focuses for the entity in Latin America are in Mexico and Chile. Markets in which the export figures of Consorcio Serrano ham continue to grow.
The director of marketing and promotion of the consortium, Carlos del Hoyo, says that "the impulse actions of the Consorcio Serrano brand that we have been carrying out for years with the aim of promoting the benefits and qualities of Serrano ham are giving very good results. In addition, thanks to the institutional support of the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX) we celebrate various promotional events, training courses, training, tastings, events for professionals and the general public in different European and American countries that make known the differential values of Consorcio Serrano ham outside our borders."
