Germany: Record prices for agricultural products in 2022

The prices of animal products have risen sharply. They increased in price by 36.8% on average in 2022 compared to 2021. This was also the highest change since the survey began in 1961. This price increase is due, among other things, to a sharp increase in milk prices (+44.8%) due to a scarce supply of raw milk. Price increases in animals (+31.1%) and eggs (+24.4%) also impacted the high change in animal products due to rising feed and energy costs.
