In Ukraine, live pork prices continue to grow
The Ukrainian association estimates that most domestic producers will increase their prices by 1-2.5 UAH (0.03-0.08 euros) per kilogram, making the pork prices surpass 50 UAH (1.63 euros) per kilogram.
The increase in prices is caused by a shortage in pork supply and the high demand for animals which have not reached the standard slaughter weight, and the outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF).
