Bulgarian authorities have reported another outbreak of avian influenza H5N8 disease, this week, on a farm in northwestern Bulgaria.

New AI outbreak reported in Bulgaria

The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BABH) said that the lab test confirmed the presence of the virulent bird flu virus in a farm located in the village of Kosovo, Bregovo, Reg. Vidin.

All the birds on this site, including hens pheasants and pigeons, will be culled. Meanwhile, the authorities have taken all precautionary measures to control and eradicate the disease in accordance with current legislation.
