Russia's poultry production up by 2.8% in H1 2018

The poultry production in Russia has reached 3.26 million tonnes in all categories of farms in the first half of 2018, with an increase of 2.8% compared to year-earlier levels.

Russia's poultry production up by 2.8% in H1 2018

The agricultural holdings produced 3.09 million tons of poultry, which is 3% more compared to the level reported in 2017, as reported by Agrovesti.

Meanwhile, Russia's egg production in all categories of farms increased by 1.3% to 22.6 million units. In agricultural holdings, egg production increased by 2.3% to 18.1 million units.

Of the agricultural holdings, the most significant growths in the first six months of 2018 were reported in the regions of Rostov, Tambov, Penza, Crimea and Mari El.

The largest increase in the egg is observed among agricultural producers in the Astrakhan, Yaroslavl, Ryazan, Leningrad, Voronezh and Vologda regions, as well as the Republics of Mordovia and Tatarstan.
