The decision, as explained in the SFDA statement, was based on the recommendation of the SFDA technical team, which has reviewed the measures taken by the competent authorities of the Russian Federation to control foot-and-mouth disease and avian influenza, and the procedures for registration and control of the products obtained from the processing of beef, cattle, sheep, goats and poultry.
