Saudia Arabia is about to import red meat from Romania
Romania's veterinary watchdog ANSVA has announced that the certificates necessary for exporting red meat to Saudi Arabia have been signed and the president of the institution, Geronimo Branescu, met with some importers from the Middle East kingdom to inform them about the opportunities existing in doing business with Romanian partners.
Romania has started the negotiations for beef, lamb and poultry exports to Saudi Arabia since April 2017 and by now it has managed to complete the technical procedures for beef and lamb products.
In September, a technical mission from Saudi Arabia has inspected the Romanian facilities that have expressed the will to export meat to the kingdom and the conclusion was favourable on the beef and lamb sectors. Romanian poultry producers have not received yet the green light to export in this market, informs Industria Carnii magazine.
