Senasa works to restore access for Argentine plants to the Mexican market
Senasa reported that, in addition to ongoing contact with Mexican authorities and private sector representatives, it has already begun implementing concrete measures to immediately address the observations made regarding thirteen slaughterhouses whose export authorization was suspended by Mexico.
The main requirement identified by SENASA, as detailed in the official report, relates to pH measurement. "This is a routine adjustment in the process of evaluating equivalences between health services, especially when it involves the initial review of the agreed-upon system", SENASA explained.
The agency also emphasized that the audit is part of the routine health verification processes carried out by importing countries and is part of strengthening bilateral relations and continuously improving quality standards.
In this regard, Senasa highlighted that, in the last eight months, Argentine has received audits from health authorities in various countries, as well as from the European Union. These inspections have led to the opening or reopening of more than 50 markets for animal and plant-based products, consolidating the international positioning of Argentine foods.
