Türkiye's audit opens a new business opportunity for Paraguayan meat and livestock
The initial meeting was led by the Director General of Technical Services of the National Service for Animal Health and Quality ( Senacsa ), Primo Ricardo Feltes, and was attended by the Turkish ambassador Yavuz Kül, as well as representatives of the Vice Ministry of Economic Relations and Integration, international auditors and technical authorities of the health sector.
The technical mission, which will run until January 30, includes an intensive schedule of visits to key points of the health and production system, including the Senacsa laboratory, health regions, zonal units, the office of the Animal Health Services Foundation (Fundassa), animal transit control posts, points of entry into the country, livestock establishments and exporting meatpacking plants.
One of the most relevant aspects of the audit is the evaluation for the export of live cattle, an alternative that arouses additional interest in the productive sector due to its direct impact on prices, liquidity and commercial options for producers.
For the Paraguayan meat industry, this process represents a concrete opportunity to diversify export destinations, reduce dependence on traditional markets, and strengthen the country's sanitary reputation - an important asset for competing in demanding, high-value international markets.
