Ukraine poultry exports to EU have increased by 80%
During the first half of the year, Ukraine's poultry exports to EU have increased substantially, according to a statistical report presented by the European Commission.
The volumes of poultry meat exported in the EU have increased by 80% compared with the first six months of 2017, reports Ukrinform.net.
Ukrainian enterprises exported 62,285 tonnes of poultry meat to the EU becoming the third largest poultry supplier in this market.
at the same time, Ukraine import 83,370 tonnes of poultry from EU and thus ranked second among importing countries. Ukraine and Thailand are the main producers that are taking advantage of the ban imposed by EU on Brazilian poultry. Chile, China, Argentina and Turkey have also reported a growth in sales in the EU market, while Brazil has lost almost 42% of its market share, according to Eurostat data.
